I think the climax in this novel is when Jack betrays Ralph and makes a tribe that only wants to play. Ralph was chosen as the leader, so Ralph gave orders to Jack and his group. Instead of obeying Jack and his group made lame excuses and had no reasonability. Ralph and Jack became further apart and eventually Jack and Jack’s group change their minds to make a new race. I think Jack has done the wrong thing, Ralph commanded to look over the fire but, they didn’t. So unfortunately they lost a chance of going home. If Jack and his crew had more responsibility, they could have made a better team, but sadly Jack is the problem that made Ralph and the kids in more trouble.
