The mood of this novel is no hope, when Ralph becomes alone after piggy dies, he would have lost hope. He has no one on his side, and the other kids that were friends a day ago are now trying to kill him. It is sad that the kids couldn’t get along with each other and ended up killing Ralph. There are always decisions that we can make, but it might be unfair for Ralph, because Jack made a poor decision. Ralph in this case has no one to rely on; no one is there to help so I think the mood is hopeless, and exhausted.’
